This is a great article, and while I was reading it, I had a thought– this is the kind of thing I tell creative people I work with (like authors, musicians, filmmakers, and actors) every single day.
Basically, if you replace “small businesses” with “authors,” or “actors,” or “filmmakers,” every one of these tenets still applies. Read it and make some adjustments to your marketing strategy today!
Oh, and if you’re a creative type and you don’t have a website and some social media in place, please get on that right away. How are people going to offer you multi-million dollar acting jobs, movie deals, book deals, or record contracts if you make it hard for them to find you?! Please advocate for your own success.
